There has been quite a few references to P over the years and IIRC Prince was sent a script by Matt Groening but he returned it with so many changes that it never went through.

It would have been great if he had done one.I personally havent watched The Simpsons in years though.

Now I know why I never like the Simpsons.....THe killed the first and only Prince.

I think it's the one where Homer joins the cast of Itchy and Scratchy as the voice of Poochy The Dog. Minutes after the episode airs, you see a host of nerds commenting on their computers, new faces popping up every few seconds. Comic book guy's there, ther nerds who say "Nih!" are there, and then Prince is there. I liked that.

Yes, there's been several mentions and allusions to him over the years. Apparently, creator Matt Groening wanted to do a whole Prince episode, but it didn't come to fruition because Prince wanted to use his Chauffeur's script? Makes you wonder if he learned anything from Purple Rain (go with different director & script = success) and UTCM (insist on your own script & direction = opposite of success).
