Hello I'm not Anonymous because everyone knows me, LOL... Being a Prince Fan/fan for many years has taught me that individuality is not something you learn, it's something you are born with ...In time you may learn how to use it!
and nobody can take that from you! When you try to conform to what society. thinks they want you to be,,, that's when you have problems , the only one you should be trying to please is you, your style is your own ( the music you like the cloths you wear), and you alone, if you copy someone else's style, it's there's, not yours, it won't work... NO MATTER THE COST BE YOURSELF (example: BJORK), because there's always gonna be somebody that does not like you or what you do, everybody is not meant to be pleased by U!!!, so stop trying to please other people, Believe me, I know! GOD LOVES YOU so be yourself...

well, it started about a year after SOTT came out. i was reading all these old rviews and of course they were great reviews. unfortunately, the critics were the ones who persuaded me. anyway, i bought SOTT and i liked it at first but after a few more listens i grew to love it. it's actually my favourite album of all time. then i found out about Lovesexy and i lovved it too. i was in high school at the time and i was afraid that people might think i was weird or gay for liking prince so i just played it off if anyone asked me anything. i remember watching Purple Rain a few years earlier and hating it. i then watched that too and i loved it. i just couldn't stop.
anyway, over the years i bought everything, EVERYTHING. i remember walking into a record shop and when i looked there was Cahos and Disorder - man i freaked; how could i not know a new album was coming? without even thinking i bought it. even if i didn't have any money at that point i probably would have given the shoes i was wearing to the girl behind the counter.
i badgered a girlfriend to use her credit card to purchase Crystall Ball online. i even bought it in the shop becuz the copy i got from the websight (see, i can't help it), had that clear plastic cover and the shop copy had a proper case and booklet. i also bought two copies of the Symbol album with that lame gold case. i opened one to look at and the other is still sealed. sad, i know. i alrady had the original from 92.

then in 1997, said girlfriend wasliving in Boston and i was living back in Bermuda and she calls me one day, "guess who's playing the Fleet Center?" me:"just get them tickets - at all costs, get those tickets!!!" two days later i flew to Boston (after just starting a new job the day before) and we went to the show. i was so excited to be finally seeing my mostest favourite artist ever LIVE!!! to be honest, it wasn't much to scream about since the bootlegs had kind of messed it up for me. i just about guessed his setlist plus we had far away seats. we did the aftershow too. only lasted an hour.
now i'm living in London and i was scambling to get tickets when he was coming last year. i was on holiday when tickets went on sale so they sold out. now i work for a west london venue and my girlfriend is an artist manager and we could not get tickets nor any guest list from anyone. it was liking george bush to have a heart. then i finally found this websight (oh dear) that had really expensive tickets and i got two. i ain't telling you how much they were. we went to the show and i was rocked to very core. it was undoubtedly the best show i have ever seen. then manchester went on sale again and in a fit of panic i paid £150 for two tickets. BOOM! a four hour drive that wednesday up to manchester for another great show and this time we had GREAT seats! we could see the whites of his eyes. even my girlfriend who is the most jaded music business person was flipping out: "look it's prince", she said in a whisper in my ear while hiding behind me and just getting a quick peak.

so now i am left here in tatters and pennyless. i still have my girlfriend - she thinks i'm sick. folks at work think i'm sick (but hey they like that indie doo-doo like hell is for heroes and mansun). anyway, that's my story. i could go on but the internet bill is getting high - see what i mean?
