Would Prince Ever Sell Paisley Park?

:
Do you think Prince would ever do such a thing?

Paisley Park is like the song...it's in our hearts - and I also believe it is in his heart too...

Would he ever see fit to leave this legacy behind?

What does Paisley Park mean to you?

If he is thinking of doing this, convince him why he should not!

(thread title changed to protect weak hearts... wink )

Watch closely. It will be a Jehovah's Witness temple in 6 months.

Heavenly

To answer the question. I think Prince will NEVER sell Paisley Park.
Even if he opens up a new studio, Paisley Park is like Graceland.
The only way he might sell it, is if he's in a very big debt. And even then I think he'll do whatever it takes to keep it.

Paisley Park is what I like to envision as "The Graceland of Funk"! headbang

If there is one thing that should always and forever be, it's Paisley Park! The lyrics to that song certainly ring true for me!

It's funny you mention this because I have been hearing rumors floating around... I refuse to believe any of them! I think Prince loves Paisley Park as much as a lot of us do and I find it hard to think that he would sell it. It is the one place where he has total and complete control to do whatever he wants to do and make the kind of music he wants to make!

NOOO!

I mean, I'm not a regular poster here. I'm hardly a hardcore fan - hardly own any boots, haven't even heard of half of the unreleased tracks that get discussed on here, heck i haven't even got round to buying the rainbow children yet. i just count myself as a serious fan, maybe semi-hardcore at most.

yet, Paisly Park is in my heart. I have always pictured myself making the pilgrimage there, and even if i never get round to it (although i hope i do), the fact that it's there really means something to me. it would be a real shock to my system if he ever sold it.

Does that make me more of a hardcore fan than I thought I was? or do others like me feel the same?

Indeed I don't understand the reason for a Thread with a title like this. It's useless speculation - anyway: I don't think he will ever sell Paisley Park.

It was purely created because of a discussion I had regarding Prince possibly moving himself and his studio to Canada.

That's it. We wanted to know if others felt the importance of the Park as we did.

It wasn't meant to parody, joke, hurt, or cause anyone to get the wrong idea.

I'm sorry if it did any of these things.

I don't think he would.
Paisley Park is 'freedom' to Prince.

All the studio and soundstage needs
he could ever want at his beck and
call 24/7. He could never give that
up, unless he gave up on music
altogether (and I can't see that
ever happening).
