HANGING out with Prince is a sobering experience. When the fuschia-loving funkster showed up at Rehab the other night, the club's owner sent over several magnums of Veuve Clicquot. Prince - a non-drinker - refused the bubbly not only for himself, but for the 50 pals he'd brought with him. After he insisted all alcohol be removed from their tables, the whole crew drank bottled water. Also on hand, but not part of the prohibition pack, were Mariah Carey, Wyclef Jean and Antonio Sabato Jr.


1. These stupid tabloids need to come up with a new catchphrase name for him instead of the worn out "fuschia-loving funkster".

2. I thought he still drinks wine..? That's alcohol.

3. "50 pals" came with him? I WANNA BE PRINCE'S PAL! What do those 50 people have that I don't!?

Celebrity status? But nothing else, cause you got STYLE SnowQueen. Am I right?

This is that same crap "newspaper" that started the anti-frenchism in the States, so the quality of this piece speaks for itself. It is shit, and I don't believe the "50 pals" drinking water one bit.

In 1993, Prince often drank gin true a straw. Various people mentioned it, including band-members.

The same story was in The Mirror (UK trash) this morning. I read it over someone's shoulder so can't be sure - but they generally refer to him as "the purple pixie/ his royal badness" etc etc. So imaginative.

Gin is fabulous but never drink it when you're down...

I like gin, but not in martinis. Johnnie Walker Blue Label when I can afford it.

If I was one of those 50 people hanging out with Prince and he told the waiter not to serve us all wine I'd say "speak for yourself!" and grab the bottle LOL.

Gin makes you sin. E & J (Easy Jesus) and Dom Perigon. But not any more. Prince does not drink he can't hold his liquor very well.(Smile) How can you get drunk on one drink and it was watered down.LOL.His parents drank and he saw what that did to them. Definitely no drugs. He won't take baby asprin for a headache. He'd rather wait out the headache instead. If he did drugs I never saw him doing anything that crazy. He wouldn't watch anyone get high either. So it amazed me that he would be surrounded by addicts and not know they got high but if you don't see them then it's just spectulation right. Alexander O'Neil had a bad problem with drugs and he didn't notice it.

maybe Prince grew up in an alcoholic household and has seen first hand the negative effects that it can have on people's lives. What the Post have preferred he and his guest sto swig crystal all night and act a fool?

veuve clicquot? that's the best they could do? oh well, i guess it's the thought that counts!
