I don't know if this topic has ever come up on the org but do you think Purple Rain would work as a musical? 'Thriller Live' and 'We will Rock You' seem to be successful so why not PR? If this ever happens, would you go and see it?

I don't Know... Maybe If they wanted to Make PR As A musical, They would want to Put Justin Bieber As The Kid, Or maybe one of those "Artist" That we have today... And I wouldn't go to see a Shit Like that even tho I'm 15

Sure - they didn't stick with the movie versions of Tommy or Hairspray when they made them for Broadway. I doubt they'd get a lead that would be able to play lead guitar though.

Are you asking should it be made into a broadway musical because its already a musical.

Yes it comes up every now and then. I know I've made a thread way back about it and I'm sure others did before me.

I think it could be a huge successful venture but he'd fuck it up because the only way it would work would be to hand it over to folk who are knowledgable and successful with stage productions (theatre) and he'd insist on being all up in it, thus fucking it the fuck up.

I mean, I was excited when I found out he would finally be releasing an accoustic album "the Truth', but a bit perpelxed as to why he had to add all that studio nonsense in some of the tracks.

Please, lets not ruin Prince's music by making a fucking musical out of it. Ben Elton has already ruined Queen for me. Anything ending in "..., the musical" is a bad idea...unless its "The Death of the Musical, the Musical".
