All of Prince's girlfriends/women have been singers, dancers, models, actresses, or strippers. These types of professions tend to attract a certain type of woman. Prince's women tend to end up looking similar to each other because they are all in similar professions. Some of his girlfriends start out having their own style and then once they've been with Prince for a while, they started to dress and wear their makeup to fit in with Prince's ideal. | |

All of you are totally wrong. Prince is not on an eternal quest for a Vanity look-a-like.
Prince loves himself above all else. Therefore, he has been dating himself. He subconsciously chooses women who remind him of himself. There have been a couple of exceptions, most notably Kim Basinger, but for the most part, the overwhelming majority of Prince's women have been petite brunettes with fair or mocha color skin, just like he is. | |

And another thing What if the look alikes were written into his contract with WB's Because a women with darker skin would limit record sales. And they thought that they could not market him to a wider audience. And what if there are other reasons that ideal was settled on. In order for someone to be jealous they have to be insecure. I am not. But what if the ideal had something to do with no one would accept someone that looked like them with a couple of shades darker skin. Say that Prince is in love with a woman that looks exactly like him but her skin color is the same shade as say Jerome. I don't really get what you're saying. Dark skinned women can be very beautiful. David Bowie is married to a darker color woman. One of the best selling female artists today is brown skinned Ashanti. If darker women limit record sales, why was Michael Jackson dancing with dark women in his videos? MJ was the biggest selling artist of the 80s. His co-star in the Thriller video is a brown skinned woman. | |

Didn't Prince date Nona Gaye? She is a beautiful dark skinned sista. You know everyone has a preference, only God knows who is your soul mate. And that person could be totally opposite of what type of man or woman you are usually attracted to. Fact Jody Whately couldn't say she was married to Andre the excuse was the same. Light skin was in during the 1980's. As far as the record company exects saw it I am not saying it was reality.
