first thing that came to my mind is maybe its a spiritual image like the world is in the hand of god as the hands coming from a higher source, personally I dont like the album artwork much for graffiti bridge the feeling U get when U fall in love not with a girl or a boy but with the heavens above

To me it showed Prince becoming more disconnected with reality Sometimes you can try to go so deep that you just loose people

cool, that sounds interesting, thanks!
i like the combination of that blue background with the yellow letters
sorry i have lots more questions...
what is that object in aura's head?
what is the meaning of the (chinese?) characters on the guitar?
what sort of upsidedown Tree is that with the purple fruit? it looks like lightning becomes the tree, so is it like inspiration that materializes into food?
is the tree in the sunset flower image significant?
who is the woman with her hand over her eyes and what is that behind her?
ok i'll stop

I am getting a bit of a Biblical vibe from the artwork, makes me think of the famous
"what does it profit a man to gain the whole world but to lose his soul?" proverb
perhaps the tree is the tree of knowledge and he is being offered the fruit?
the movie poster suggests it is Morris tempting him with fruit, money, worldy riches, etc
while at the same time from above he is being offered the world in his hand by Aura (Angels/God?)
I am looking at the movie poster when I write this, the album artwork has afew extra images and is jumbled around abit

Wow! Thank you.
The fingernails of the hand made me think it was a feminine hand. Its interesting to compare the album cover with the movie poster as some parts are mirror images and others are not.
