"Little Red Corvette" - New Arrangement

Since this new arrangement was released, what is regarded as the best version (as it continues evolving) around?

Personally, I like the 2009 Montreux Jazz Festival version a lot!!

I have also come across another one from Palais Nikaia, Nice, France on July 25 2010.

Best LRC version is the Coachella performance.

Just watched/listened to it. It's okay.

Would dearly love to hear the Palais Nikaia one but have so far only been able to see fan footage of the performance. Also, the song is missing the beginning?!

Slow down, you're moving much too fast. Slow down, you need a good love that's gonna last. I might be a bit too forward girl, I just might be a bit too blue. But I think you know what I want. I want you. If youd' rather be with them others, then I've got news for you. I've got fifty thousand or more who'll sing. Can't nobody do it like Prince do. Come back baby, don't walk about the door. You don't really expect me to believe that, you don't want me no more. I promise I'll be good, and tame you. cool

What, in your opinion, makes it better than the Nikaia/Nice rendition? That´s my favorite version so far.

I love the Montreux 2009 version, absolutely love it! Of course, I love the Sign "O" the Times movie version also, which was my favorite version until I heard the Montreux 2009. The piercing guitar opening, the passion in his delivery, and repeating "slow down" chant--it's one of the best examples that Prince continues to improve as a master musician and performer, having the ability to transform great songs into masterful songs.

I wish it was longer.

Me too! That is my only complaint about the Sign "O" the Times movie version of "LRC"--that it is too short. Yet, it is so amazing that he is able to impregnate so much soul and passion into it in such a short amount of time.

I LUV the original; although I am becoming fond of the jazzy sound.

MAYDAY! lol

Yeah, I think the original has its place untouched. But the jazz version def adds another dimension into it.

The way he reconstructed it - of ALL the songs that obviously could've gone to that direction - adds another jewel into his musical crown IMO.
