I think they r (as all Prince's songs) arranged and produced exceptionally well but honestly, "Power Fantastic" is that spot 4 me! It's very mello, jazzy and 2 me, romantically sexy! Eric Leeds and Lisa blended it perfectly!

These 3 are some top best arrangements that came out of the Purple Music catalogue

Power Fantastic has that majestic electric effect with a touch more of meloncholy but the recording story behind it just makes me nervous. You are hearing each Revolution member on their instrument on this song as well as Purple Rain. This song actually made me cry when I first heard it.

If you put aside the fact that he plays it at almost every concert, doesn't detract from it's majesty

I still remember when I first started hearing Purple Rain on the radio and it just chills me electrically

Adore, Prince's showmanship on technical and musical sounds individually just blows me away

My favorite would probably be "Adore" on that list.

The best song, however, would probably be "Purple Rain".

If you ask me the best of those songs is Adore, if you ask music listeners in general most will probably answer Purple Rain. (Of course assuming that they've heard them all, like on The Hits/The B-Sides)

My honest answer is...I don't know which is the best. But my favourite right now is Adore.

Why? I am about to fall in love. Wish me luck. Naturally, if things don't work out, my favourite might change to If I Was Your Girlfriend or Purple Rain.

However, a long time personal favourite of mine has always been Power Fantastic.

Nice. I agree regarding Power Fantastic; it is just sublime. It drips authenticity, in the most unusual way. It's definitely a CLASSIC Prince composition.

"If I Was Your Girlfriend" is always going to be one of my favorites.

"Purple Rain" is my favorite Prince song.

But "Adore" takes the cake on so many levels. The arrangement, romantic lyrics, and Prince's amazing vocals make for a classic tune!

a song based on a composition by Lisa Coleman called "Carousel"
according to engineer Susan Rogers
Prince sang in a corner of the room

the whole Revolution recorded this song, when Prince wanted to test his new

home studio.

She felt at the very center of artistic creation

For me Fantastic doesn't do much. A little meandering if anything. Girlfriend, well excellent song obviously with great lyrics. Adore is lovely. Very romantic. But Purple Rain, well that's the song that will tear my heart apart after Prince's death. The opening chords alone have such a huge impact on me. That song is my youth.
