Don't get me wrong - I do like the song 'Dolphin' but I've never seen him so subdued during a live performance and the 'dying swan ' performance at the end was just a bit too melodramatic/cheesy for me (similar to the UTCM and just as bad).

No Prince recognizes real. Leno is a real dude. That is down to earth & comes out to chat with his audiences in regular clothes b 4 he starts his show..No ego at all. Letterman is untouchable...

Yes, because if there is one thing Prince is known for, it is how real and down to earth he is. Always has time for his fans, chats 'em up wherever and whenever he can. No ego at all with Prince. He is not untouchable at all, so I can see how he could relate to such a "real dude" like Jay "Backstabber" Leno.

Prince has walked up 2 & chatted his fans up b 4. Invited them on stage to sing with him & allowed them to attend his soundchecks & tour his mega Paisley Park Studios. Stop hating! He has his moments & is very humble. Ask Larry G.....

If I'm not mistaken, his fans paid him to do all that.

Well on the performances mentioned as someone who went to the "dolphin" show, and the today show performance of Dinner and Zannalee. The Fault is not in Prince at all, the Dolphin performance was over the top and Prince walked out to laughter, what Music Artist walked out to laughter as if he was a joke? He was there to make a statement and im sure he felt like, "dindt u get enough Jokes on me during the show?" As for Dinner and Zannalee on the Today Show, totally dis

Prince appeared in a 10 sec or so promo at the beginning of the show Where David Letterman referred to himself as the artist formally known as pin head or something of that nature. So, Prince was ok with the jokes. I don't think he was pleased with the comments after his performance though.

This per4mance marked the reason why Prince has a dislike 4 Letterman. Prince was making an artistic expression with his feud & slavery of The WB. Dave made fun of his per4mance. Its the reason why Prince prefers Leno....

Prince was doing his job of being a melodramatic rock star with an over-the-top piece of performance art at the end of his set.

Letterman was doing his job as a comedian to goof on him.

Don't forget that Prince did go on Letterman again in the summer of 1996 to perform "Dinner With Delores."

Prince prefers Leno, because Leno is a suck-ass who won't ask any hard (or relevant) questions and will bend over backwards to suck off his guests. It's a sign of the edge that Prince has lost that he keeps going on that ass-kisser's show.

I think he prefers Leno because Leno lets him do what he wants. How many times has he performed there? Its like whenever Prince wants to do something late nite all he has to do is call and Leno offers up a week. Leno gives him special treatment and in NY thats a lot less likely.

Change it one more time..
