It's great. Actually I've been listening to Newpower Soul quite a lot recently and I'm in the camp that thinks it's underrated. It may have been a disappointment at the time, but it stands up pretty well against his post-WB output. I like it, and I love the album it came from. It's also one of my all time favorite Prince videos, though I think the beginning and end is embarrassingly stupid. |

this song & the video. One of those songs I never cared much for until I heared it live. It was the opening track on the fantastic Brussels concert in 1998! And then once again he did it at the North Sea Jazz last year. If it hadn't been for those performances, I would have forgotten about this track long ago. As ballads go, this is 13 in a dozen.
