Not major news, but what the heck!

One of the girls from work brought in a new magazine today called "New!" On the second to last page, there is an interview with Beverley Knight in which she talks about Prince.

Here is what she says...

I hardly ever get star-struck, but the person I did lose it for completely is my idol, Prince. I really, really love him. I've met him twice and was just like "Oh. My. God." He blew my mind. He was over here performing recently and I was in New York filming a video. I tried to move the shoot just so I could see him. Sick, innit?


Besides the article there is a picture of Prince that looks like it was taken around 1998.

I love Beverley Knight! She's never been a really big star but she has always been consistently good.

Incidently, for those of U that have seen Beautiful Strange, Beverley is in it. She speaks about Prince at the beginning and while Doug E Fresh is rapping, the camera goes on her during the Mirror, mirror on the wall part of his rap.

Why is it that I can recall that fact?? I must have too much free time and too much potential brain space being clogged up with these useless facts! I mean, I'll never being sitting in the black chair with Chris Tarrant going "And Keith, for one million pounds, which singer was featured in the beautiful strange... yada yada yada"

On a side note;
Michael Bland was (is?) the drummer in Beverley Knight's band.

She bigs him up on her site too at http://www.beverleyknight.com & I saw her doing 'I Feel For You' on T4 tv last month. She said, 'Everyone knows Im a massive Prince fan & so Im gonna do one of his songs'.

Im not sure about Michael Bland though. But her drummer does look a lot like Michael B

She thanks him in liner notes of her latest album for "seven wonderful days" or something similar.
