For me it's different. I grew up around several folks who associated with JW's and they were really intolerant to most things. My friends aunt was one and they made her childhood a living hell due to their views. But again I think the comments are distasteful.

I have had probably 25 roommates in 30 years, some male, some female (5 bedroom 3 story house). The only ones I ever suspected of being homosexuals (there was only one that I knew was) are people just like you. The rest of my roommates, who are mostly rednecks, couldn't give a damn about his personal life.

Personally, Prince is revolting to me. So what? Apparently he makes good music - not my style (late 60s hippie here.) If he ever leaves the JWs, I will rejoice. Maybe buy him dinner.

Actually, to clairify, I know this board, it's actually an "Ex-Jehovah's Witness" page. It's confusing because it looks like it's a bunch of JW's but it's really alot of nice but bitter people who left the Witnesses and hate everything about the JW's since they messed up their lives, basically. So I'm not surprised they would hate on Prince or call him names. They hate ANYTHING Witness.

I don't find that funny at all because it's not in my nature to be a violent person. However, when I live in a world where just my walking down the street and looking like a "faggot" can lead to my imminent and brutal death, you are damn sure I'm going to sing it from the mountaintops that religion is a virulent disease.

And since I already trounced one religious buffoon on the org tonight, I don't feel like I need to reiterate my opinions in too much detail here. Suffice it to say, I would never pull the first punch, but I have no qualms ending the argument myself.

Just to let you folks know , i am very familiar with the website the OP linked. And the majority of folks there are no longer JW's.

Look into it more closely and you will realize it is an anti JW site. Of course it's no excuse for the harsh words on Prince. They never had a word to say about him until he converted.
