Hello,

I've been cleaning out my Prince collection and came across these 2 bootleg Black Albums on colored vinyl... Both are by Erotic City Records catalog number Noir-69. One is on Blue vinyl & the other on Pink vinyl (looks red to me).

Have any of you seen these before or have any more info on these? I've searched this site and the big G, but haven't come across anything related to the colored vinyl versions, only the black vinyl edition.

all bootlegs all pretty much worthless. their sound quality is crap and other than the novelty have very little value.

With all due respect, that is a very general statement. There are people who still collect bootlegs on vinyl and cd and some of those people are willing to pay very high sums for the right title on the right label.

As for sound quality, ever heard of soundboards? Ever heard some of the outake releases of the past few years? I'm guessing no judging by your idea that their sound quality is crap.

or I have some of these same ones and know they sould like crap. Lots of noise.

oh! You think I was saying that ALL bootlegs are worthless and ALL sound bad. No! there are some great ones out there. I just do not think these sound any good at all. As far as their value: I will accept that they may be valuable.

yeah I was speaking specficaly of thoes boots. if they are worth something i can accept that... but they sound like shit (thoes specific ones from that lable).

which is what i said. sure some boots sould as good if not better than the offical releases (there is at least one well known version of the black album that sounds better than the offical released CD).

but these from erotic city are poor quality.
