Hidden Vocals - Cause and Effect (better than original?) Producer JAK3 has done another Prince hidden vocals video, this time with Cause and Effect - WOW. Everyone complained that this song was way overproduced, and with this version, you can hear things as they would sound if Prince had gone for a more simple production style with this song. That guitar solo.... my, my.

BTW those 'hidden vocals' tracks remind me of what used to happen with my old headphones, if the jack came out a bit you could only hear certain parts of the song.

I'm not going to bother looking for the video, but I've always felt that the main problem with Cause & Effect was that the multi-layered Wall Of Prince vocals don't work for his variety of pop rock. See also: Damned If I Do. | |
