You mean, he's "in the zone."

There's lots of performances, but the 1st one that comes to mind is the legendary "Purple Rain" performance at the AMA, Cyndi Lauper going all hysterical in the front row.

funkyhead	amen , my most fave live clip of P ever. I've written threads on this myself over the years. It is truly incredible to watch. The story behind the performance is interesting as well. The convinction of his feelings during the Lovesexy live shows run through this incredible performance. I managed to cop a CD version but alas it sound real tinny and shitty on the POD in my car.

yes that is the one ! first performance that came to mind.

.... also his rhythem guitar break downs on the song "Head" during the Dirty mind tour.

simply amazing.
