I've always dug this song (and the whole 1st LP too). I love the live version that he did from the Conga Room also.

I'm Yours is all Prince on all instruments. Prince was highly skilled way back then at an early age. The man is just a pure musical freak! __________________________________________________

..well we all know he's always been a skilled musical freak. But according to Andre he sometimes didn't give credit where it was due on the first two records. Regardless I still love the song.

I was just listening to this again a few days ago.
I don't think it's a stretch to think that Dre & Z contributed to "I'm Yours". Prince first recorded the song in '76 and the album was recorded between October & December of '77. The Loring Park sessions were sometime in '77 and Prince, Dre and Z sound pretty tight as if they've been playing together for a while (and presumably with some purpose in mind). Of course we'll never know for sure if the Heaven Sent Helpers are on those first two albums, but I personally think so...
