Sign O' The Times, Live, MTV Video Awards, 1987

One of his best performances ever, IMHO. Absolutely breath-taking.

I've only seen bits and pieces cry but from what I've seen, I agree. What songs did he perform? I only know of SOTT and Play in the Sunshine.

I think that was it, although I read that he did a killer after-party set which was longer.

I remember this. I hadn't seen the movie yet, so the whole walk through the audience entrance with marching drums was pretty cool.

That WAS great...can u believe he wore jeans?

He gave that jacket to the girl on the Cosby show, forgot her name.

The aftershow was supposedly one of the best ever!

I loved this performance too!

I remember catching the show live with my VCR that afternoon.

Prince's hair was wild Funk hippie style! And the way he played guitar rocked too! It was awesome, it was also the only Sign O The Times like concert tour performance for the US.

Actually there was a Prince AFTERSHOW that night in the Valley, I think the club was called The Reseda Country Club and he continued with Housequake like the tour and wore a black midriff outfit, silky, with peach Buttons down the fron ala Kiss outfit, big peach cuffs and had redone his hair curlier.

Chaka, Huey Lewis and I think Stevie Nicks joined the band onstage for Forever in My Life! Was great, I only found one photo of that show and seen another too. But no bootlegs or video have ever been released. Should be the rarest of the shows to find of that era.

I suspect he was giving the US audience a taste of the soon to be cancelled US Sign O The Times Tour. Oh well.

We were siting in the room, in love, eating pizza and drinking Seagrams Wine Coolers... The mom of the beloved said he was "pretty" man. We al tripped on his hair style and I said "Oh he's going back to his Prince album days" look with the hair.
One of the first tv performances that focused on his awesome guitar skills and the mood he created just with a spotlight.

SWANG

A truly memorable performance...at least the guitar and vocals were live. The rest of the band mimed to a track.

I've been a Prince follower for 14 years and I only saw that clip for the first time last month. What can I say? Brilliant. Designer jean jacket and jeans was a good look for him.

Well I got it off Kazaa but I wouldn't know how to send it to you. In my experience it's very hard to track down on Kazaa. It took me ages. Well worth it though lol
