I love it when he paints an outlandish picture with just a few words, leaving the door wide open for all kinds of interpretations. Take wars / terrorism for example : "little babies in make up terrorize the western world" (Crystal Ball). Could have referred to child soldiers in dresses and wigs, could have referred to Melly Mephisto's diabolical babies bringing about the end of days with freakin' bazooka lipstick!

However, that was 86. Fast forward 20 years and you get "The main problem with war is that nobody ever wins" (Resolution). Yathink, P? Thanks for the shocking insight.

HE HAS SO MANY! I think Prince is heavily underrated as a lyricist! He can be really 'DEEP' when he wants too. Haha.

He has a unique theory on how he conveys his points. I really enjoy his lyrics most of the time. NOT ALL THE TIME. Sometimes it seems he just wants to rhyme..Listen to 'Guitar' on Planet Earth. You'll see what I mean..lol
