It was the first song i grew attached to on love symbol, and it was one of the first prince albums i listened to on repeat, i go crazy for the ending when those harmonies kick in Style is not biting style when U can't find the funk

I loved it right away and still do but in my opinion it's not one of the best songs on the album. But that just shows how good the album is.

I want all that song's germs. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

^^ I swear I clicked on here to post exactly that. I thought it was going to be so clever and unique!

Actually, mine would have been, "yeah, I want all its germs."

A fellow connoisseur of the album! I love that there's lots of danceable stuff, but also good slow ones and a great slow one like "And God Created Woman"; I love that the whole vibe is very hot n sexy and in your face; I like that it's kind of coherent as an album; I love that while I think it's great musicianship and art, there's a part of me that questions whether it's actually crap (Imago described this dichotomy best in his post about "My Name is Prince" vs. "Bad"); also love that lyrically it's quite brilliant. Let me explain that last one - the imaginative use of words clothe the craziness and crassness in sophistication. Only Prince can do that.

I love the continental.
I think P made a mistake recording this in falsetto though. Should have growled this one. .
