True, and I am very much looking forward to it but I don't want to be dissapointed when the doco bit is just 5-10 minutes and we have already seen the best bits on the clip.

At the end of the day though, I'd rather all the goodies that are leaking out at the moment than one new studio album a year of average (by Prince's standards) new material.

I dont think so either but it must not sting as hard as he must have chartered this doc for some sort of release at some time or other. Yes released on hs terms and maybe , knowing him, just for his own collection though.

But I guess sooner or later anything can get booted he must know by now.

I think the behind the scnenes material is fascinating ala a D.A. Pennebaker Dont Look Back (Dylan) type of doc or even a Truth Or Dare one. I had always hoped he would do this. Im not even caring to much pf the stage perfomances, just the how he got there, how he enters it etc etc.

It was planned to be a 2 DVD set. Disc 1 a complete show (part of which is now circulating and on disc 2 of THIS set) and Disc 2 would have been this documentary. Yet another project Prince spent a bunch of money on to have filmed then changed his mind.

Release Date: NEVER!!!

No, it's not. The opus docu was about the 21 nights in London in 2007. This is from 2004. You can see Candy Dulfer backstage, and she was not in the band in 2007.

The 2 dozen or so different DVD bootlegs you mention of this tour were not films Prince spent HIS money having produced so that is a completely irrelevant comparison and you have no point. Documentaries like these do NOT come cheap, and yes it is Prince's money to blow which is why the dude has had several financial messes in the past.

And if you really think nobody buys what they can get for free when it comes to bootlegs, you are also incredibly naive. Not everybody has the time, patience, knowledge or computer to download and burn DVD's. There is still a market for pressed items, that is why they run them in limited quantity.
