Funny story!! Reminds me of a funny experience I had in 1994 when my friend & I took a once in a life time trip to Minneapolis. We stayed in St.Paul the last part of our holiday & got the bus into Mpls one sunny day. Anyhow, en route the bus picked up 2 passengers who spotted us young filles straight away & one guy said "Im gonna sit over here!" with a smile & raised eyebrows, to say the least! Now one guy had a stookie(plaster cast)on his leg & the other guy had a clear plastic shower cap on his head(?) as he squeezes right in between me & my pal. He turns to me & says "HMMM Hmmm, aint u a cute little thing!?" I was affronted. He asked us our names & where we came from then asked why we were in Moneyapolis, & laughed in a deep voice. We both smile & brightly replied "Prince!" to which he questioned...."Prince? Rogers Nelson?? I went to school wi the bas*ard!" Ha ha, that made our day!! He then told us about the school he went to etc but his mate was soon shouting at him to get off the bus cuz it was their stop!! Fabulous fun! We still didny find Prince Lol!

Yes, it does often seem as though I'm the only one in Minneapolis who didn't sit next to him in math class.

I'm originally from Minnesota. I moved to Philly about 4 years ago. A few things I remember: an older church member of mine in Minneapolis reminded me over and over again that Prince would eat at her house as a little kid and that she fed him 'franks and beans'. I assume she was telling the truth.

I got VIP tickets for the first Celebration. The 3 hour concert at the end felt a little too 'jammy' but when he invited members of the Revolution up it felt absolutely surreal.

And finally my friend's parents lived a block away from his house in Chanhassen. They talked a lot about the windmill. I think it started purple and then was painted yellow (not totally sure anymore).

Nothing too exciting here, just thought I would share. There are some great Prince fans in Minneapolis.

Correct, yellow with purple trim like the house. Then it was painted white with black trim like the house too.

A windmill? Like for renewable (green) energy, or as a machine like for grinding grain/churning butter? Or was it more like a pinwheel - decorative, in a garden?

Decorative on his property. It was huge. You might be able to see it on the Gangster Glam video. I haven't watched it in awhile and can't remember if it shows it or not.

Prince don't wear no underwear

It always changed with the theme....Bright blue for Batman....Yellow with purple trim for Diamonds and Pears. White with Black trim for Emanciapation era...
