Which question do you really need/want to be answered, the 1st one is ok, because Prince did that with a lot of people the 2nd one is going to open a floodgate of "this is what black is" which will automatically take this thread into another direction to be moved to another thread.

Dosen't seem much of a color/Latino change to me. I don't think many ppl looked that closely at BM but he always looked this way. I think ppl got the impression that he 'should' or 'could' have been darker because his name was Brown Mark. As we can see from the first photo, he looked mixed race or w/e you would like to call it. So I think we can put Q#3 to bed now?

I think what he's trying to say is Latino people are fat... or fat people look Latino... I'm not sure which way round he's applying it...

I think he looks the same and hasn't really aged much in 25 years. And my favorite P bassist for sure.

as usual another thread is decending into stupidity!. Just to say that BM is the greatest bass player P has ever had, Sony T, Levi etc can't touch the rubber funk he put on the live shows. Anyone know 100% what recorded bass lines he did for Prince on his albums?.

Go check out some Revolution boots and really listen to the bass - that is one FONKAY man!.

I know you’re saying “Mark WHO?”. But Mark was very famous (in a background sort of way). He was a member of Prince’s band The Revolution. Having family roots from Minneapolis, Mark happened to be a family friend. Long story short, when I was a tiny Applebud – Prince & The Revolution came to Houston for a concert and Mark stopped by the Applebum house to visit. I was smitten. He didn’t do anything fancy or play any musical chords, but he left a lasting impression on me and may very well be one of my first crushes – evah. *Of course, now that I look at his funky fresh hair-don’t I’m really questioning my judgment back then.
