Dude regardless..he still looks younger than his years and Im not even talking about this pic with makeup you posted. Ive seen him face to face and the Rev face to face. Have you? "Climb in my fur."

I say he looks good for his age, I don't know what 50ish is supposed to look like
I know people in their 30's who look 50 (genetics) and my dad who is 68 looks 50 Again, a discussion of how good someone looks without considering their cosmetic surgery and make up is a half discussion as well as some cool threads to help out the look
They don't look older than him in this pic

If you don't know Teena Marie, then you don't know anything about funk, r&b, OR soul.
Know your music history.

I think SPOOKY was saying who is "Teeny Marie, not Teena Maria"
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Like I said, if you don't know Teena Marie, you don't know funk, r&b, OR soul music.
And I find your lack of knowledge of black music profound sad. The next thing we know, you will tell us that you don't know Rick James, Roger Troutman, OR Larry Blackmon, true funk soliders that are from the same generation as Prince.

the person typed Teeny Marie, I think the comment from Spookygas was humorous

These days, Prince looks a little more like his father as he continues to get older. Good choice of pic OldFriends!

I must admit, when I read:
Prince will outlived every artist
I automatically assumed that English is not your first language, as I didn't think it was possible for a native English speaker to make so many grammatical fuck-ups in so few sentences.
This isn't prejudice, it's just pointing out bad grammar. Even Microsoft Word knows it's bad grammar.
Bad grammar and creative writing is not really the same thing you know, although I guess you could argue that it is, but it would be a tenuous argument at best.
Anyway, yes, Prince will probably outlive us all, including his remaining peers, due to a relatively healthy lifestyle and bucket loads of money to spend on the best healthcare it can buy. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

My native language is American English, NOT freaking Queen Elizabeth's English.
How is that for an explanation? Do I need to talk and speak more WASP-like for anyone else in the org?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Absolutely not, you should continue to speak however the fuck you please.
However; although it must be said that I am more familiar with freaking Queen Elizabeth's English (or to be precise freaking Irish English - which is quite distinctly different) I am not entirely unfamiliar with certain flavours of American English, but I've never before heard any sort of English spoken like that.
Is that really how you speak?
I'm not taking the piss - I am genuinely interested - I'm trying to imagine how what you wrote would sound in my best approximation of what a dirty south accent sounds like, and it still just sounds like bad grammar.
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

My English is not broken. But my English will never be posh neither.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Pretty much, yes. Although quite often with more fucks in it. I have an odd mixture of posh English (from living in England for nearly a decade) and Irish English (from living most of the rest of my life in Ireland).
I didn't mean to suggest your English is broken. Broken English to me would be if I couldn't make out what you're trying to say. I don't think anyone who understands English would have difficulty understanding what you were saying. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

Can we stop with the correct grammar bullshit and get back on with this morbid mortality who'll outlive who stuff? "Climb in my fur."

I think it´s because you used past forms of verbs while trying to build a sentence about the future. Has nothing to do with posh English or the Queen´s English, or American English. Or sometimes you forget to type personal pronouns and verbs. But hey, it´s just a message board, not a thesis paper, so it´s all good as far as I´m concerned. We don´t know whether orgers are drunk, or under the influence of painkillers, weed, crystal meth, rum or wine while orging. And some have health issues and get a lot of flack for their typos (not you, but I´m just saying).
Good to see you back Tony... but.....wow, what a morbid thread. And in bad taste.
See:
Prince will outlived every artist
But yeah, it´s good to see that Prince is living a clean, healthy lifestyle, still looking young and energetic. I think he looks amazingly young for his age, and I bet money, genetics, a clean lifestyle and inspiration from young women play a huge part. One thing I don´t believe is that this is due to his vegetarian lifestyle because I´ve seen many meat eaters who look young, and I´ve seen some really old looking vegetarians but I´ve also seen very healthy and youthful looking vegetarians, you never know. Depends on your diet. One can be a vegetarian and still have a bad diet. [img:$uid]http://tvthrong.co.uk/files/u1670/nigellagillian.jpg[/img:$uid]
Prince DOES look old in some of those pictures above but then again, there are pictures of me that were taken ten years ago, and I look much older in them than I do now because I either had a bad hair day, or lacked sleep and was tired, or worked too much. Prince looked quite young when he was on the George Lopez show not too long ago.

Madonna is in good health, she will live long!
Prince also I think... Prince seems like a healthy guy, but don't forget that he doesn't sleep a lot... that is not very good for you.. but that doesn't mean he isn't healthy and he will not get old.
Also some others that are still alive and good looking & healthy are(some examples); Tina turner, Bruce Springsteen, Grace Jones, Sting, etc and yes I even dare to say Mick Jagger... he is not that bad looking for a almost 70 year old guy(he is 69 right? this year he'll be 70), and he still has ''moves like Jagger'' lmao.

And oh btw, I've seen Prince from very close when I was on stage, I was next to him, and he does wear a lot of make-up on his face, but he still looks very young/good to me. I've seen him a lot of times live in concert this summer in Europe and all from front row, but he looks great to me, of course you see when he is tired, etc but he is also human.. He still looks good, and yes I think he still looks okay without make-up.
