These are great, you have even the right type of lettering and designs for each album and era. The way you co ordinated the look of all the singles from one album with a similar theme is really good too. Just one gripe, Paisley Park was only used between 1985 and 1994. Dirty Mind and Purple Rain era singles usually just have the Warners shield on them (Here in NZ they were marketed as WEA) but the 1985 -1994 period ones had Paisley Park mongrams too, so it must have been global.

Cant wait to see your take on the 1999 singles, perhaps the naked torso shots or the purple trench coats and not forgetting that steam and fog he was obsessed with at the time.

Sign singles, definetly all peach and gold.

Gold Experience, use gold or egg yellow backings and Metallic 90s letters would be cool.

D and P era try and use a sort of diamonds and pearls jewelled up type motif or the whole "Cream" theme.

Controversy, maybe stick to something the newspaper headlines or that semi nude phase with the shower photo.

Musicology, aim for a Apollo theatre, old oak, stage type feel?

Just some suggestions.

Yeah the Pisley Park thign has been raised before, but basically I have took the decision to include it on all releases, kind of as though they were being reissued by Paisley Park / Warners, hence them even featuring on really old singles.

Gonna do some more this week, really dig what you;re saying about the Musicology era ones!

Stuill a bit confused about your comments though, now you've posted yours.

Surely this simply uses all the artwork and concepts from the original release. Did you read my original post? My idea was to reinvent the look for each collection of singles. That's why I am using different fonts,etc., but rather going for something that simply 'fits' the concept of the album. eg. heavenly pink and blue for Lovesexy, sleazy tigerskin for Dirty Mind. etc. etc.

What can I say after all these positive reactions??

Prince should have hired U 4 his artworkor should do this 4 a remaster series, they look better than most of the originals...and God knows I´ve collected those 7" and 12" singles!!

I love the Batman artwork; Orion, Batdance and Partyman are great!

Parade era; especially Mountains and Girl&BOys..beautiful picture I´ve never seen be4!!

Uptown; difficult because the pictures of that era aren´t that good but U give it a nice, clean look!

And Purple Rain, yes your covers look beter, Purple Rain-God is really good and When Doves CRy...BEAUTIFUL!!

Lovesexy era; Alphabet St is much better and I wish u Haeven could be good but lacks some colour...same 4 Glam Slam.

From ATWIAD I only like Pop Life but don´t worry, the originals weren´t better.

I´m gonna use all these covers and pictures..maybe not 4 what U made them, I ´ll use some 4 compilations or whatever .. great work!!

You asked me to post alternative artwork that I have created,

I could reinvent the look for each collection of singles if you wish, but would hate to rain on your parade, after all this is your thread.
