The Truth is the more interesting one, but it has too many dorky moments on it. "Abraham Lincoln was a racist" is still a better line than that shit about used condoms.

I always find it amazing, that the moment I am listening to a song or album it is discussed the same day or around the same time here on the ORG.

WELL! I would have to say ONA!! I love 'TT' But 'One Nite Alone...' Gets me every time! His vocals are stellar, and piano playing is just as great! It's one of my favorite albums actually! So pure and just genuine! I really wished this was a worldwide release, it's soo underrated because so many have not heard of it. I love every single song on it! I have to say, it's one of my favorite albums! Haha, there is not one thing I would change about it.

My favorites would have to be: One Nite Alone, Have A Heart/Objects In The Mirror, Pearls B4 The Swine, and Arborteum! THEN AGAIN??? ALL OF IT IS SIMPLY WONDERFUL!

Each time I play it, my heart smiles, and really brings a sense of everlasting. JUST AWESOME!

HOWEVER....THE TRUTH is fantastic too!

I still love Animal Kingdom, it doesn't matter what anyone says against it. Haha, sure the lyrics are whack, but I dig it! lol..I love the way the guitar sounds, and I have strong memories to that song. lol.

MY FAVORITE from 'THE TRUTH' would have to easily be 'Fascination or 3rd Eye' Those songs really does something to me, I don't know what it is about them! But I listen to them all the time! These are the first two songs, I want to learn first, when I play the guitar! Haha

Then comes: Welcome 2 The Dawn (AN AMAZING SONG..The lyrics are so beautiful) Circle Of Amour (The ending is just one of the catchiest melodies EVER), Comeback(Heartfelt, and really helped me during a weak time) and Don't Play Me'(JUST BOLD AWESOME).

Everything else is 'Alright'. BUT I could personally go without: One Of Your Tears, The Truth, The Other Side Of The Pillow, Dionne, And Man In Uniform'...That's not to say they are bad songs, but they are not songs I pay much attention to. When I hear them I groove, but they are not sticky like glue. lol

It's an amazing album though, I wish he released it worldwide as well. It's a cool album, and I think every one should listen to each album respectively. BUT I HAVE TO GO WITH ONE NITE ALONE!

I'm not sure if that "used condom" line could be considered dorky or just flat out gross. I have ocd and just hearing that part makes me want to wash my hands. And it's a beautiful song otherwise.

Has anyone mentioned "Dionne?" Along with "Don't Play Me," it's probably my favorite on The Truth. Overall, I'm on the fence over which album I like the best though. I guess it depends on my mood.

The "used condom" line is definitely weird but I kind of like it. It was impossible to know it at the time but that was besically the last we heard from the weird/gross side of Prince.

The prices quoted above seem about right $100-120 for a new mint copy. The one at $525 is quite frankly a piss take and one would have to be totally insane to pay anywhere near that price. It could come with a free moon and it would still be too much.

I saw those on ebay too. He usually sells fake Gold N****, ONA, and others. I can't remember his full login name, but mtc is part of it. It's mtc_ something...I think...and the prices are always much lower than the going rate.

Dionne is one of my top 20 P songs. Beautiful song that does not get enough love on the Org.

Avalanche is a classic P song on ONA that demonstrates one of his most successful political/musical musing.

Prince should write more piano tracks anyway.

Animal Kingdom is one of the worst songs Prince ever produced imo.

By my count (which might be wrong), that's 10 votes for One Nite Alone..., and 11 for The Truth. Interesting how close it is.

I do think both are great albums, but I think a lot of people are bored by ONA because it's all slow piano songs.

But I still prefer One Nite Alone...

I agree with everything you said.

Aside from the ONA album, two of my all time favorite Prince songs were piano-based: 'How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore?' and 'Sometimes It Snows In April'. Unfortunately he hasn't really done many songs with just a piano and vocals.

I guess you're right in that regard. I never considered that.
