Prince at Bunkers last nite

Apparently he reserved 3 tables for Dr. Mambo's last nite. I found this out via twitter. Don't know if he actually showed up or jammed. Hopefully he's home recording a new album..

I know you're probably right, but I REALLY want you to be wrong. Partially because I'd love a full Revolution reunion, but mainly so you know what it feels like when someone pisses on your chips.

blah blah blah

I would be wiling to bet 1 million dollars that Prince does NOT perform with the Revolution this weekend, but am not so sure about his not making an "appearance" that night, i.e. showing up and walking thru the place one time just to be seen and create a buzz...thenleavingreallyfast, just as suddenly and mysteriously as he showed up, without even talking to anybody directly.

I love Prince and think he's the greatest, but I also believe in his massive and needy ego and how he loves having it massaged. If he's not in town I don't think he'd bother coming back just for some cheap attention, but if he's in town anyway I think he'd enjoy stopping by First AVe and getting everyone wound up a bit and saying "OOOO PRINCE IS AROUND!! WHERE? WHERE? WHERE?" but I don't think he has any interest in actually performing with the Revolution.

Those are just my thoughts. I guess we'll all see what happens this weekend! smile

How dope would it be for the Revolution to be jamming and Prince just walks on stage and says "EVERYBODY STOP ON THE ONE! GOOD GOD!"

There wouldnt be a clean pair of draws at First Avenue.

Fuck Dieselcars!
Nice explanation.
Bad quoting.
Diesels do not run on vapours.
Diesels run even on the lubrication oil.
Diesels get more miles per gallon.
Diesel packs more energy per gallon.
Diesels make less revs yet have more torque.
Diesels take me to the Prince gigs.
Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

fine dust polluter

nitric oxygene far higher

carbon dioxide per gallon higher than in fuel

diesel particules

engine noise

never drive a diesel!

Always drive diesel.

You don't say that 'gas' is clean... smile

Particles were bigger in less modern diesels, thus less risk.

NO is lower in engines without exhaust gas rcirculation.

CO is also effected this way.

Noise can be tuned and is a small cost for the possibility of independence of the oil cartels, the Arabs and the government...

I think people are going to be saying that no matter what. There will probably be somebody at the concert who looks vaguely like Prince and that will set the rumors flying.

The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

But the smell! Lawd, diesels smell worse than bickfoot's cock, I swear. Give me good old petrol any day.

I don't know where you live, but in Europe (or especially in and around cities) you usually drive less than 10km per car drive, so over 90% are short-range drives (not good for the diesel). For that, buy an electro-car (Renault Fluence f.e.: 25,000€ and you have a fully fledged car). Drive 100km for 3€ and then re-charge in your garage for 6-8 hours. For longer distance, buy a proper petrol car (how about an Alfa Romeo 147? smile).

That's how I'd do it and that's by far the cheapest and coolest way to drive (electro cars have sports-car-like acceleration!). Plus, petrol smells great and diesel smells of old horse shit.

What smell?
Did you ever checked the smell of a cold started grease car?
And then a properly warm one?
On a petrol car you often can smell the fuel itself that wasn't burnt...
Diesel just drives nicer. Brake on the engine, not with the brake pedal, in most cases; this enables you to waste less fuel.
The torque enables you to drive lazily at the traffic lights.
Less than 10 KM? 40+ KM single trip over here. Why take the car for 10 KM?
Electric car is not so cheap yet and harder to charge when you have an apartment on the first floor without proper general infrastructure.
So for now, we visit mr P's gigs (all over continental western Europe) with the car...
Any updates on that Bunker?

I just can't stand the smell of diesel, cold or warm. I could puke. It smells "cheap", somehow.

And I do like the smell of petrol!

Actually, a petrol car will make it even easier to waste less petrol by taking your foot off the throttle, because it brakes less and lets the car "coast" longer.

Of course, it depends on where you live. Where I live (in the urban area, in a town 15km from the centre of Vienna, and I live in a house with a garage), the electric car will take me to Vienna, a couple of hourse around in the city and back TWICE for a night's worth charge and 3€. So yeah, an electric car is not for everyone, but for those who have an additional car for the few long distance drives they have to make and for those you have a house with a parking slot, it's perfect.
