Went to see a great band from New York this past weekend...during our chat the lead singer mentioned he saw Prince at the Bjork show last week in New York...story is that there were two reserved seats in the VIP section, where my lead singer friend was with his girlfriend...in the middle of the show a body guard walks in and Prince slides in right behind him...Prince was wearing big black sunglasses, and was with a short haired blonde girl...not sure who this would be??? (any thoughts?) Anyway...borjk, from the stage, appeared to sing one song directly to him...and after she finished, he left immediately...my friend made a comment that it was like the matrix...lol...

so there's your gossip/sighting info for the day...

Thats cool. When I read the review of her first night there I thought about what Prince could take (if anything) away from what she's doing. She's kinda adapted his residency idea though and just fleshed it out with this whole museum experience type thing. I'm not all that into the Biophilia album, but I like the concept behind it. It just doesn't have enough musical meat on its bones to sustain my attention with the exception of a few tracks.

LOL, that's a hilarious and pretty accurate description of her music to me. i'd add a "screaming gnome/elf lunatic". I don't get the hype behind her. I gave her a chance with Vespertine (even listened to it with headphones under my covers at night LOL as the glowing rolling stone review suggested, i THINK it was RS....anywho). haven't picked that cd up since. maybe i too will peep the Army of Me song/vid cuz i'm thoroughly unimpressed by her. the only think interesting is that she's from Iceland

I liked the Sugarcubes. That was one of the first albums I'd ever bought, and it was a good one. I liked "Deus," though Prince would most likely have a problem with it.

I think it's safe to say she was a pretty blonde, whether she was a date or business associate. I think it's also safe to say that she'll have an album out soon, whether she can sing or not.

Bjork lives in the neighborhood where I work & shops in the

store I work in. One day I was walking down the street and

saw that she was up the block ahead of me. Someone walking

by her bumped her arm on the way by and just kept going.

I was like hmmm that guy just banged in to an international

star and didn't even know it.

There are pleanty of peeps I work with that are

fans of hers and get all excited when she comes in the store.

When I opened last Sat morning there was a credit slip in the office

on the top of the stack with Bjork's signature on it and the night

manager had put a sticky note on it that said "Awesome!"
