Camille, yes or no

Not quite sure if this has been addressed here before but i want to know if songs like ol skool company, $, Dream Factory among many others are actually Camille songs? now i know they are not accredited to Camille but the speeded up voice dosent sound too far from the Camille character.

All u haters need to recognize, if u cant c right through these lies, good gawd!

dream factory could be, but not the recent tracks. they were probably also pitch changed digitally instead of sang to slowed down tapes. the real camile stuff is credited to camile, and the other tracks you mention are credited to prince

Whether a song is Camille or not is generally denoted as such by being officially credited to Camille.

That's why songs like Love Or $, Erotic City and Come On etc, are NOT Camille tracks even though they use similar vocal distortion techniques.

Beyond this, I just wouldn't class later tracks as Camille because that name embodies a certain feel and character that is specific to the time period. Even if Prince released a newly recorded track tomorrow credited to Camille, I would call BS.
