But, for me, I see his genius when I think of how young he was when he wrote, and also how consistent he has been with his excelence!

I just wish he cared less about his armies of critics and really pushed himself again. y'know without the rapping and self(ego)-affirmations.

But ultimately I'll settle for whatever he deems fit to churn out.

agreed, looking back at this jam, he was well ahead of his time. the song is described as "rock" because of the guitar, but the bass line is hectic.

With that being said, Prince's recent tours have been heavily guitar-centred. I can really see this fitting in2 his current format.
