Prince Net Worth around $250 Million?
Prince is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor, with an estimated net worth of $250 million dollars. Prince’s music style has been influenced by rock, R&B, soul, New Wave, electronica, disco, funk, folk, jazz, rap, blues, psychedelia, and hip hop. Prince (real name Prince Rogers Nelson) grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prince released his first album For You on April 17, 1978. Prince’s self-titled album, Prince, in October 1979, catapulting him to fame with two top hits. During a drawn out confrontation with his then recording company, Prince went by an unpronounceable symbol as his name, and also at that time known as The Artist Formerly Known as Prince. The recording artist reportedly has several hundred unreleased songs in his catalog. Prince founded his own label and recording studios Paisley Park Records and NPG Records, self-producing, writing, and playing most, if not all, of the instruments on his recordings. Prince has won a Golden Globe, seven Grammy Awards, and an Academy Award during his career.

A 1992 TV program estimated that Prince was earning something like 500 bucks an HOUR just through radio and TV playing royalties, and that was without counting record sales, producing fees, live concerts and merchandizing.
And if you do your maths it seems that some concerts he does nowadays make around one million bucks...
So whatever he has, certainly isn't a poor fellow A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Sounds spot on to me. Might even be less than he's actually worth ... after taxes. Prince has been saying since the mid 90's that he wasn't broke. No one wanted to, or in your case, some still don't want to believe him.

Dylan is known for his songwriting moreso than his singing (I think so anyway). His singing is horrible, but his songs are wonderful. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I think Prince is definitely worth more than '250 Million' Especially considering he cut down a lot of the 'Middle Men' after he left 'WB'. That's not to say I believe he is worth 1 Billion dollars as someone here as assumed. I respect your opinion, but I really don't think he's worth that Much. My estimation is that he might be worth around half a billion dollars? So around the avenue of 450-500 Million? I don't know? Haha It's Button Therapy, Baby!

That would be true if Prince had sold any records after he left WB. That fool is lucky to go gold anymore.

He's made more money on the road since leaving WB than he would have had he stayed selling millions of records or not.

You have a good point, but no one knows what kind of assets Prince has (other than Paisley Park, house, etc.). Not to mention investments. I would think that it's more than $250 Million, though. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

You got that right jackmitz! Some people are just so ignorant. Does this person have any clue how many people worldwide have recorded a Dylan song?? Probably not.

I'd go one step further and suggest that Dylan is actually a very accomplished singer. Obviously he does not possess a conventional vocal style and his voice has indeed deteriorated in recent years, but if you took the time to listen to songs like Blind Willie McTell or even Lay Lady Lay, you'd totally get what i'm on about....

It seems impossible to measure a celebrity's worth unless you are actually their accountant. The fact is that many times Forbes lists and such should be taken with a grain of salt since the numbers are often reported, not in any way calculated.
Now, things like divorces can bring to light true financial worth if those documents get publicized. Like in the case of Zoey Deschanel's business being publicized (90 grand a month is her income). My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

Yeah exactly! None of us really knows? I'm sure he has many investments! The mere reality that he's made so much on his tours speaks more than 250 million to me? lol. It's Button Therapy, Baby!

I suggest that anyone who doubts Dylan's contribution to 20th century art and literature listen, while reading the lyrics to Visions of Johanna. Totally agree about Blind Willie McTell, which was an outtake til the late 80s. Occupy Alphabet Street!

In 1992 CNN said he was number 3 or 5 on the list of top money makers for the year @ $50 million. I am sure it was due to Diamonds and Pearls... (still don't understand why he never brought that tour or Sign o the times to America).
I always wonder what he was worth...I know he isn't worth what he could have been. Said no to NBC concert, No to Coke, and a lot more things throughtout the years. I know, I know what folks will say about his music being his art and his babies BUT think how big he could have been financially. JMO Prime aka The Kid

Going gold has nothing to do with what he is worth. MJ sold half a billion records and died broke. Prince has worked non stop ever since 1977. I believe half a billion worth. Not counting the cash under his bed that he has stored... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

Of course people have re-recorded a Dylan song, how could they go wrong...a tone deaf hoover would pull it off better than howling Bob. [Edited 1/11/12 17:04pm]

[Edited 1/11/12 17:04pm] Good lord...sometimes I wonder why I visit the .org Even Princey himself covers Dylan...in fact, just a few weeks ago we were lucky enough to see the band cover 'Make You Feel My Love'. And, on the biggest stage in the world (the Super Bowl), P covered a Dylan tune. Occupy Alphabet Street!
