I was sifting through my tons and tons of collected Prince tracks, and I realized, I'd really like to organize them by their recording dates, not alphabetically or by album or what have you. I think it would be cool to hear them all in order of creation (well, in order of being committed to tape), and hear the evolution of his sound and songwriting above and beyond what the studios put out.

Anyone know of anything like that? I know I could go through Prince Vault one song at a time and do it that way, but c'mon, I've got a life!

I've thought of this as well - you could piece it together from princevault.com with a bit of work. It would probably reveal some connections you never noticed before!

I've been trying to to do this for a coulple of months already and it's been a little difficult.

First thing is that I have so many songs I have first to get rid of the worst quality which have been repeated from boot to boot...

After that I plan to make a 2nd and 3rd disc if necessary per album.

But that will be time consuming...
