there's fans aplenty on here that don't get this pic. a beautiful depiction of prince's sexuality merging with his spirituality, it's strikingly artistic. shame on those stores that wouldn't display it, implying that it was somehow smutty.

I've always loved this album cover , I think it's beautifull rather than 'sexy' . I was 15 when this came out , on the day I went 2 the record shop after school with empty pockets & just stood there staring at it !

i scrounged the massive cardboard display from our price, had it in my bedroom for years. you can imagine the reaction of my mates! what with that and an oversized lovesexy poster (tour programme front cover) above my bed lol

and to think the next album cover was a fucking batman logo!!!

Ha ha ! I went 2 our price 2 the day it came out ! I wouldnt mind having the cardboard display ha ha I had aprox 20 large posters in my bedroom (peep thought I was nuts) & the one that got the most remarks was the same lovesexy one u mentioned I was always felt 4 male prince 'fans' I mean i'm female & took my fair share of stick ! I had the Lovesexy cover poster up on my wall at halls of residence at uni. Got a few odd looks from men that came into my room. Got me noticed by a few of the ladies as well.

I love that dreamy "religious" look in Prince's face, beautiful.

One of the best Prince album covers.

Don't be homophobic if that is why you don't love this pic.

To me it's just beautiful, I still have the Lovesexy cover poster hanging in my bedroom, together w 7 other Prince posters....

That's what I'm saying. I've never looked at that cover and thought that he was trying to be sexy with it. I always figured it had some spiritual meaning behind it or something.

his hand isn't on his nipple, it's on his HEART. the cover didn't sabotage lovesexy, the cover IS lovesexy. that dreamy earnest look in his eyes is "the feeling u get when u fall in love, not with a girl or boy, but with the heavens above...lovesexy" (i still get goosebumps saying that n i'm an atheist)
