FM4 is known for its good music selection - alternative, funk, afro, cosmic, ... absolutely no mainstream hits!

I always listen to Superfly; they're absolutely great (it's a radio station in and around Vienna; forgot where you are from exactly...). They play old-school Soul, Funk, Jazz, Disco and Fusion. Today, on my way to uni, they played Prince's I Feel For You AND Musicology in 20 minutes. I also heard some 94 East material on there. I dig Superfly so much.

You know, Austria is a small country with an almost non-existent Pop music scene of its own; we "depend" on Germany, they depend on the U.S. and 99% of the stuff that makes it over to Europe is absolutely shit and that's what we hear on our national radio. Hearing Prince in such a small country is really refreshing, especially given that we only have about 10 radio stations to choose from.

Don't you think there's a huge difference between hearing a RADIO HIT on radio and hearing something newly released, hardly promoted or something from side projects (94 East) on a small radio station in a small country? I really don't know how to clarify this even further; either you're really bored, really stupid or you just pretend being stupid BECAUSE you're bored...

If you don't think this is interesting news (probably because you're not from Austria? Why would you be interested in this?), why do you even post in this thread?

Yep, that's how it goes. Especially now that I'm in the middle of the exams!

Another reason for why hearing good music popping up on the radio gives me a positive kick which I like talking about!
