I don't know if a record will be released this year, but I talked to a musician last night that has worked with Prince and keeps in touch with him and the band (he was at Mr. Hayes' house earlier this week), and he said Prince was working on a new record right now.

He also said Renato had moved back to Brazil.

When ISN'T Prince working on a new album?

i really think that p only releases albums now as a means to promoting a tour and not as a form of artistic statement. If that is the case then I hope he does take another year out and waits until he has something worthwhile to sing about rather than just the same old, same old.
