Manowar is my favourite track on rave. Love the layered vocal melodies and the lyrics. The album is a little uneven but half of it is excellent to my ears. Still collecting that vinyl

First post for a while ...
I always thought it was a little strange and unnecessary that a lot of the songs on this album started with an announcment of the song title. Rave, TGRES, Hot Wit U, Everyday ... all did this, but in my opinion they didn't need to.
Overall i do like the album though, especially some of the more qwerky stuff. I love The extended Tangerine, I love u but i don't trust u anymore, strange but true, beautiful strange, pretty man
I even like Everyday ... to the point in the tune where Larry takes over (i have faded my version out at this point)
Not too sure about the look !! Wouldn't suit me, that's all i can say !!!

I know it's not popular, but I really do like Silly Game. The vocals and music sound good to me.
Why do we play this silly game?

Well I finally found something about this Era, I like besides Greatest Romance Ever Sold, and Man O' War. The fashion was just....just....I cannot even define. But I like this pic.
I also remember an interview w/BET his hair was like in millions of rubber-bands or something, can anyone remind me what was discussed???
Also the name spin for the magazine "Prince & The Revelation" "How Can I Stand To..Stay Where I Am? Poor Butterfly Who..Dont Understand." P

Uptown magazine!
I was a member back then, and I have that copy posted above. That was really great - to get a lot of Prince-info, it was before the internet took over.

I have this DVD and pretty much liked his performances with the exception of the corny way The Time was introduced. And the set was pretty...hmm well generic but my favorites were when he played "She's Always In My Hair" and "Nothing Compares 2 You". I don't own the "Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic" album though. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
