I assume you are talking about the shm-cd's that were released with replica album art and all that faff?

They are not remasters and were never advertised as such, they were pressed up on shm discs which are supposed to be better quality, I have a couple of them and can't tell the difference, just a load of hyped bollocks imo.

ok i thought so as some sites were hyping them as 2009 remasters.

^^ They are definitely not remasters.

They are not remasters but they sound better that the original CDs - to my ears at least. Especially Sign O The Times sounds A LOT better, me thinks.

i thought someone did some kind of soundwave analysis and posted on the org, intimating that while they are not remasters, they have been digitally tweaked from the originals.
