Interesting Prince Pic It seems for Prince's 1979 tour, he got paid a whopping $500! This is a receipt from "Ole Man Rivers," the club he played in Avondale, Louisiana (near New Orleans). https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.a...2368_n.jpg The pic is from the club's facebook page.

what were the tix prices for that intimate club show here in LA few yrs back 300 or 3000$

I was a huge fan from the release of "For You"! When "Prince" was released, I had to go. Wasn't great, but wasn't bad either. I was focusing less on the music and more on his stage presence and persona. I had never seen anything like it! Was he straight, was he gay? All I ever saw of him were the album covers! I just knew it was Funky! He pranced around the stage like a stripper on Bourbon Street! Anyway, when it was over I was hooked and never looked back. Looking at him now, I feel so fortunate to have been there from the beginning. I have seen every tour up to One Night Alone. I saw history in the making and didn't even know it!!

That's the first time I ever saw a recipt for Prince like that. That's pretty cool. Wow, 79, he was just starting out too.
