Useless fact no. 1,00074 Prince inspired character in Mortal Kombat For all I know this is common knowledge here. I'm speaking on the phone with my Old man who's just as much a geek as a 12 year old boy with his gaming consoles. he tells me that there's a mini article in a book on the Guinness book of records games of 2011/12 on a beat em up game where supposedly a character and the game itself were inspired by Prince and Purple Rain...naturally I set out to find what this is all about and this is what I find.
I think you can say the writing was on the wall with this:

I can't see anything on the soundtrack but also found this....

The only thing I wonder is if there's a suit which actually looks like Prince, but Hey Ho!
There's an extra bit of information your brain didn't need to have stored in it [Edited 1/20/12 6:36am]

What you can't see in this picture is there is no butt in his pants so this really IS a Prince inspired outfit [Edited 1/20/12 6:56am] Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Kinda funny, in a way.
Purple Rain. "I never want to stop singing this song!" Prince in Montreal, 12/2/11, just before performing Purple Rain

Rain has always been one of my favorite MK characters. If I recall, his introduction was in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 which I remember buying when it came out. |
