It's not really a performance in front of an audience, but at the end of a BBC Documentary on him there's a soundcheck performance in L.A. of The Ladder that's just amazing.

that is for me THE greatest performance

i would love t see that in ts entirety

+1 on this one. I would love him to do an all out acoustic piano tour in a small theatre.

Super Bowl/ Press Conference 2007!! NOW THAT WAS AMAZING!!! smile Gives me chills all the time!

Fury/SNL --Just incredible! The way he shreds it!

Motherless Child That song and the way he performs it, made you believe every word and action. It's just incredible, I love the guitar solo, how he just stands and plays it..He oozes talent here. ON FIRE!

All The Critics Love U In Montreaux (DAMN! He just is not here on this earth here, I mean it's one that gives me chills all the time, much if not all the songs in Montreaux 2009 he is on fire performing!)

While My Guitar Gently Weeps.. WHAT MORE NEEDS TO BE SAID?

Most of the time, Prince brings the house down when he's performing! He really always makes sense to the term "Consummate Artist". He can do NO wrong live! smile

I get teary eyed whenever I listen to the performance he did of Electric Intercourse at that concert...so incredible, the passion in his voice...I love it so. I think that version is better than the normal unreleased recording.

recalls seeing him in irvine ca, stage was dark cept for lone spotlight on him n he started the cross .. it was early in seeing him prob the sec time i saw him, id never seen ppl actually cry n get totally emotional at a gig before . ppl were like having a religious experience it was surreal never forget and i swear he fkn went off on that jam just tore it up. it was one of those memorable moments

I read this, and it gave me this thought:

For all the people I see and hear bitch and moan about Prince's performances here lately due to him "playing the same stuff over and over," reading something like that made me smile inside knowing that people can appreciate these moments when they do happen. (And I'm sure this was some time ago considering it's The CROSS and not The CHRIST, but still...) smile

And I know this has nothing to do with the topic, but why does a Jehova's Witness sing The CHRIST? I know they don't believe in The CROSS, but I was under the impression they didn't really believe in the CHRIST either. I know I may be wrong, but that's always confused me. (Sorry for going off track, but that confuses me a bit. Sorry!) smile

Well still, different song title or not, it feels good to read somebody remembering something positive instead of complaining of a hits show. smile
