Honestly, let's be brutally honest here - most children can't sing for shit. You know this, I know this. Which is why when one who can, comes along, adults go apeshit and make a big fuss over them (see Michael Jackson as a child).

And to be even more honest - that doesn't change in adulthood. If you think about it, the vast majority of adults aren't particularly musically-inclined; can't sing worth a damn, and couldn't play an instrument if their lives depended on it. Which is why, again, when the general public sees those who can a lot of 'ooh' and 'ahh' ensues along with pedestal-building.

Which is why a lot of the ones who are gifted in that sense, have superiority complexes and think their poo doesn't stink, because they know they can do something that isn't really common, and then random jackasses kiss their asses because of it and give them an exaggerated sense of themselves and their own importance.

Plus she's adorable in the clip and whatever talents she lacks in musical ability she makes up for in spades in acting ability and has never tried to record music for profit or present herself as a musician. Slagging her off for this makes about as much sense as being surprised and making fun when a gym school teacher can't perform your appendectomy.
