Who is Jeff Richter, and how does he take credit for directing this? Is he a disgruntled member of Prince's video crew that wants to show off his skills?
I seriously doubt it's part of some forthcoming DVD or something. Since when has Prince ever released something on video that's 7 years old? I'm sure if he was to release a live video it would be from the latest tour at the very least the 2007 02 shows, so he could edit together the best stuff. In Prince years, 2004 was ancient history. I hope I'm wrong, though, and he releases a deluxe DVD set with the concert, behind the scenes documentary, director's commentary, a link to exclusive online content and an interactive "pin the tail on the artist" game. But don't hold ya breath!

and you should especially take a look at his official website: http://www.earthquakeproductions.tv/DIRECTORS/JEFFRICHTER_DIRECTOR_LIVE.html
That should answer your question if he takes credit for directing this video....... [Edited 1/16/12 16:32pm]

That's all nice, but why is he putting out Prince videos on the video streaming service that dare not speak its name?

He's not showing off or nothing, that footage is online without his permission, it's part of a reel he sent to his new current job.
