Expert Lover - the Millennium version

So I used to be a bit mad on Prince back in the day when i was a young 'un (and before I'd heard Blue Light) but I neglected him for more than 15 years, only digging out Dirty Mind or Parade or Sign o the Times every now and again, mainly for fear of ridicule from my partner of nearly 17 years (shit!)...

anyway,

recently I've got back into the purple trouser snake, getting my hands on the stuff i've missed in the intrim years and discovering that all the unreleased stuff I'd got on crappy casettes from Chesterfield market and record fairs in Sheffield was available sounding pretty damn good...

So i've spent the last few months listening to mostly prince and nothing else, so much so that I over heard her saying to her mate: 'it's non-stop prince all the time, it's getting beyond a joke'...

then tonight as i was looking the Digital Garden website and apologising to her for all the stuff I'm inevitably going to have to get my hands on some how she said... 'what you looking for now? Expert Lover - the Millennium version?!'

and my first thought was...'there's a millennuim version?!'

I've been re-infected... i'm on the verge of getting obsessed again...! On the plus side, I think she's warming to him... She loves Dirty Mind!

"Expert Lover"??

but you mean the song "Crystal Ball", right?

"Expert Lover" was a misleading title on the early bootlegs from 1988/89.. lol
