Why are you all getting in a tizz about this? I don't see any of you moaning when some clown posts a youtube (or similar) link on here. It's the same fucking thing.
See the "report post to moderator" button? Click it, have any of you done that? I'm guessing no.

I don't understand all the fuss: the-website-we-must-not-name is 100% legit and posting links to it shouldn't be prohibited. It's a LEGAL release! The simple fact that the concert isn't available for download (while others are) demonstrates that Prince's legal team agreed for streaming but didn't agree for download.
Some quotes:
"The Concert Vault is fully licensed by BMI, ASCAP, and SESAC, and we pay these performance rights organizations every time you listen to a concert. The license fees make their way back to the performers that made the music. Download revenues are also shared with performers and publishers as appropriate. One of our top priorities will always be to make sure that the artists are compensated for their performances."
"Why aren't all of the concerts available for download?Although we own rights to these recordings, in many cases others have rights as well, including performers and song publishers. We do not make a concert available for download unless all rights have been properly cleared. Do artists get paid when their concerts are played in the Concert Vault? Do they get paid for downloads?Absolutely. We pay licensing fees for every single track played by every listener to the three major Performance Rights Organizations (PROs) - ASCAP, BMI and SESAC. These payments ultimately go to the performing artists and song publishers. A large percentage of the sales of downloads go directly to performers and song publishers."
"It was called "the most important collection of rock memorabilia and recordings ever assembled in one business," by The Wall Street Journal, Dec 13, 2005." A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

It's legit. I'm a member. But they sometimes release recordings without being 100% sure they can release them. Last year, they released two Keith Jarrett concerts (one from 1974 and one from 1975). The one from 1974 was removed after Keith Jarrett's manager contacted them. Still, it had been available for months before and I was able to purchase/download it.

Yeah, but they'd have to be really FEARLESS to fuck-up with, of all people,
I mean c'mon, we're talking about a guy who personally asked removal of a video of a baby dancing on a snippet of one of his song, and who sent cease and desists to most of his fansites and to 2 bands of ex-protégés who wanted to use their old bandnames
These people may take measurable risk sometimes, and they indeed have a history of complaints, but fucking with ? No, I don't buy that! He'd sue them so badly that they'd probably be bankrupted
Until proven otherwise, it's legit in my book (and there4 included in my discography). A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/
