I like them because they're something different in his career and because of the creepy (as well as mysterious) moods that've been mentioned. A couple of more songs in this veign--and actually released in high quality--would be cool.

Same here too!I remember hearing 'There's Others Here With Us' for the first time when I bought the Charade vinyl bootleg. I was amazed that Prince had made such a creepy track but it was good! It was the stand alone track of his career until 'Dance With Devil' came along with its sinister/quasi-satanic lyrics. Definitely wish he did more tracks like these and actually released them in a project. For some casual fans/newbies it would be like discovering a whole new side to Prince's artistry! When  go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! | |

I love Dance With The Devil. I would've loved the Batman album TRUCKLOADS more if he'd have included this one instead of the dreadful Batdance, but, sometimes Prince is that way...

Totally. I'm so glad it never made it to the soundtrack. I've made a few more 'complete' playlists of the Batman soundtrack, with Sex and the extended mixes, but I never include DWTD. Take it - like Clarence said:

I love Dance With the Devil. Dark, creative, and unpredictable. Its a great 'Joker's theme' isn't it? Other Here with Us, not so much. It's not the lyrics that scare me (well it did at first) but it just won't grow on me. And.. I never understood why people say Charade would have been a better album than Parade.  | |

OHWU sounds desolate and very unlike anything he recorded before. Not really any instruments in the tune other than some stark tribal drumming. A constant female scream in in the background in different octaves at times with a howling wolf. There is also a lady crying in the background too. Scary. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
