When DVDs first started taking over there was a series called Classic Albums that were actually pretty awesome. Of course, I can only base this on the two I have (Phil Collings-Face Value and Elvis' first album Elvis Presley. I always hoped for a 1999 or even Purple Rain edition in this series but alas...not meant to be.
As noted by many other people in many other threads, I think with Prince's reluctance to dig to deeply into his "dirty days", it might be hard to put anything really insightful out about the era that might be most interesting to see. | |
