Prince-Bryant Gumbel 1997

In 1997 Prince performed a medley

of songs in an on-air tribute to Bryant Gumbel in Gumbel's final

appearance as co-host of NBC's "Today" show. The singer dressed

up as Gumbel, shedding his usual flashy threads for a conservative

dark suit, white shirt and tie.

Take Me With U and Raspberry Beret was played - well in the clip Ive seen.. Such a nice tv moment of Prince.

The one thing I find a bit peculiar about that performance.. or not the performance but Bryant Gumbel's reaction when they tell him The Artist is back to play for him and almost right beside him the NPG is sitting ready to play. So the reaction to me was a bit insincere cause he's a big fan of Prince and would have noticed the NPG to his left.

But still a very nice moment.

C'mon. The OP just cut and pasted something from a very old on-line article with no link to said article and no explanation as to why this was re-posted.

Us cunts were just bumping the thread in hopes there may be some type of follow-up on the importance of this C&P from the OP.

Yeah... that's what we were doing.

i know sometimes things seem old hat, but people have an opinion and to be shot down in flames on page one is a little unnecessary. At least wait for imago to come in so we can all blame him... razz

irinact

I watched this footage from Today Show were Prince performed for Bryant Gumbell. It was a fun to watch, Prince looked very happy and dressed like Bryant.

What is really shoking is that all people from Today Show in this footage now looking much older except Prince and Al Rocker. Prince only getting better and prettier as he gets older, just like a good wine:)

And I'm happy for Al Rocker that he lost so much weight, he was too big in that footage.
