Not big of a Parade era fan, but wonderful release indeed Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

I was able to get it as a aiff file. Is that lossless or do i need to do something else to get it in the best format?
Someone needs to invent a program where I can just press one button and it does all of the work for me. That person will be the next billionaire.

I have a question, but if it´s been answered in a earlier post I am sorry for repeating it, but I wanna ask it directly to my problem.
When I try to download it´s downloading but I get an ampty file and the message that I don´t have the necessary program to open it. And I have a mac. What program does I need to get these demos? Does anyone else struggle with the same problem?
Thanks for your help! | |

LOVED hearing the segue from OF4S to AMD for the first time! All My Dreams & Others Here With Us sound simply amazing. I was gasping while listening "Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone"

I feel like I haven't heard that version of Love Or Money. Cool. And I like the little stuff you hear in between songs. Like Wendy yelling "For God's sake!" before Girls And Boys. And Prince before Love Or Money, "Play, nigga!" And it's cool to hear Girls and Boys not segue into Life Can Be So Nice. Thanks, all! "That's when stars collide. Almost 25 years later and "All My Dreams" is still one of my favorite songs.
My crank and my hand thank those involved for bringing them back together again.
Honestly, though, I am listening to this release with the same can headphones I had back in the day when I first bought a hot pink sleeved 12" LP of Charade. Oh how I long for those younger days. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Oh man its so nice to hear just those two tracks in almost prestine quality (OHWU & AMD). Love Or Money quality wasnt that bad in the pervious versions, unless u had Charade on vinyl (Heir Apparent was the version I have quality sucked compared to the later cd and mp3 versions I heard)..but this is still the best now.
Still like the original Tracy's Parade and I Wonder U, but it is really nice to hear them in better quality anyways..blessed to hear them. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Snagged the download at work, popped in into AUDACITY, (which is totally free and simple) dragged ALL the files into the Audacity window at the same time, hit "export multiple" button and selected WAV and off it went. I was finished and listening in less than 5 minutes. There's nothing to it but to do it.

You don't have to convert anything.
Download a free media player like winamp or foobar and you can play files that are in flac/wav/mp3 and every fucking thing else without pissing around converting shit.

Go to the App store and download The Unarchiver for free which will open the Rar file

Worth downloading for Love or $ - holy shit that is some totally, stripped down, nasty funk. Even better than the overblown 12" remix version, it's a groove that locks and keeps going. Uh.
By the way Eric is crucial to the classic P sound!

Great release, the sound is amazing. I'm hoping one day we will get In a large room and the extended Crucial in this quality then we would pretty much have all the circulating outtakes from this era in top notch quality enabling us to make the mother of all albums.

4 the record, this is the May, 1985 configuration of the album in perfect order, PLUS Girls & Boys and Love Or Money, which weren't part of it (but probably really considered for inclusion anyway, since they were included on the demo tape that ended-up on this bootleg).

It's kinda cool because u know, Charade was my first bootleg ever, in 1991, so these tracks have a special place in my heart
So bad that Heaven, which also was on Charade, wasn't on the tape that contained these demos. I'd love to have it with pristine sound! A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

an interesting thought. the length of the boot is 43 mins, which sounds like a single side of a c90 tape
so if it was from a c90 tape, was there something on side 2?

With the recent upgrades In sound quality on certain songs from the 1985-1986 recording sessions and a few songs that have been officially released we now have enough top quality to make an album that could rival his very best. Dream Factory Train Splash Crystal ball Power fantastic Crucial An honest man Sexual Suicide Last heart Data Bank Girl o my dreams I can't stop We can funk Witness Movie star A place in heaven Other here with us Old friends 4 sale All my Dreams
