This is fantastic! - It's kinda sad when a boot is mastered better than the actual album the tracks are from - the bass on New Position, the drums on Under the Cherry Moon, the whole of Life Can Be So Nice... AWESOME! Kudos to whoever made this happen.

Gotta love 4DF and FBG... always giving us outstanding releases. Great stuff! Also, (as a graphic designer) I always appreciate the work both groups do on the artwork for their releases (namely squirrelgrease's fantastic layouts).

And for the technically-challenged Mac users that don't like to deal with FLAC files -- try MAX (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/19873/max). It'll convert to pretty much anything you want or need. I convert all of my FLAC files to 320 mp3 for my iPod and archive the FLACs. For those in the know -- MAX uses the latest version of LAME (3.98) to encode (LAME is one of the better, if not, best encoders out there).

Omg the bass on New Position and the clarity of I wonder U is amazing and Life can b So Nice sounds fat. All My dreams sound tight. All of is fabulicious!

Would of like Heaven to been on there but I'm just grafeful with this great boot as it is. If I want it so much then just stick Heaven on the end and hey presto! a bouns track

Heaven is a cool track but I don't think it's ever been confirmed that the track was considerd for Parade or any other album.

I think it was just tagged on the end of the Charade boot as a bonus.

Yep, you could be right, it could of been just a bonus track for Charade. But wasn't recorded around the same time? So maybe it was being considered for Parade?

It was recorded in that timeframe when Parade was being put together and it does fit in with the general sound of that period (imo). However it has not been confirmed as being on any of the early Parade configurations or as being planned for a b-side etc.

Still, at the end of the day I suppose only Prince knows for 100% sure.

I think there has only ever been one other known unreleased configuration of Parade, not the implied "others" that I mentioned.

The May 1st configuration that is on this release, minus Girls & Boys and Love Or $. I mistakenly thought there were others.

So the May 1st '85 version, and the releasd one. (that we know of).

We, indeed, are spoiled. Why complain about Prince not offering this stuff when such stellar bootlegs are being released in such quality for free?!
