Apollonia's dad looked so serious and like he was about to start sobbing at any moment, and he was definitely too...umm, intense ... in how he was looking at her.

As for that guy with Sheila, I could be wrong but something is telling me that I'd read she was dating that guy at the time (but it was ages ago I would've read anything like that, but then again I'm old now and my memory isn't so great!)

Thanks for posting this! It was great to relive that era and the excitement again for a few minutes.

And someone PLEASE tell me that girl yelling at the end is an Org member!! I loved her!

Honey, videos were still so new to everyone. I think everyone was just happy that MTV was covering the Purple Rain premiere. You have to remember, MTV basically played only rock acts until Michael and Prince broke through. Sad, but, so true.
